What amenities and perks are included?

Participants can expect food, with ultra and marathon runners receiving hot food at the staging area and hub aid station, including burgers, hot dogs, hot pasta, casseroles, and vegetarian/vegan options. All other distances receive snacks, with salty snacks available on the course and at the staging area. Post-race celebrations include beer and Micheladas for runners (ID required), while non-runners can drink for a $5 donation. All runners receive a race shirt and a medal, with awards given to male and female winners (1st through 3rd place) for each distance. Virtual participants who email their official time to aubrey@tripledareruns within a week of the race will receive a shirt and medal within two weeks.

Packet pickup is available at the staging area 45 minutes to 1 hour before your specific race start time.

What is the refund policy?

No refunds are issued. If the event is canceled or postponed, runners will receive a transfer credit to any future Triple Dare Running event.

What volunteer opportunities are available?

Volunteers earn a $1/hour race credit for future events.

What is the significance of the Trail Trashed Ultra?

The event honors Darrell Henry (1970-2016), known as "Chew Toy Tough." Darrell took up running 20 years ago to improve his health and continued running through cancer diagnosis, surgeries, and chemotherapy, often carrying an infusion pack. His ashes were scattered in the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area following the 2017 race. The event celebrates his passion for quality over quantity and his enduring spirit.
