What is the race course like?

The course is a technical trail running through Mohican State Park, featuring notable elevation gain and loss. Color-coded utility flags are placed every 1/10th of a mile and every 5 feet at turns, with all markers positioned on the runner’s left in the direction of travel. The layout includes out-and-back sections with mirrored markings for return runners, and course marshals are stationed throughout. Distances are approximate ("ISH"), with the 25K roughly 16.6 miles depending on GPS device.

What should participants bring on race day?

Runners are required to carry their own water bottle, as hydration is essential due to the elevation and trail difficulty. No drop bags are allowed, so participants must bring their own gels, S-caps, or E-caps if needed. Aid stations will provide a variety of items, including soft drinks, water, sports drinks, snacks, and medical supplies such as Ibuprofen, Vaseline, and Band-Aids.

If the 50K is affected, the first attempt will be to move the event two weekends out, with further adjustments made as needed until conditions improve. No refunds will be issued if participants are unable to attend the rescheduled date.
