Salina Crossroads Marathon 2026

Will I be freezing on race morning?

Early November in Kansas is a gamble. You can expect crisp, cool temperatures—likely in the 40s (Fahrenheit)—but the wind can be a factor in the open stretches of the plains. Dress in light layers that you can shed easily once the sun hits the pavement.

What are my distance and timing options?

The full marathon and half-marathon both gun off at 8:00 AM CST, which is ideal for avoiding the midday heat. The 10K follows at the same time, while the 5K starts slightly later at 8:10 AM. If you aren't in the area, there is a virtual option, though you lose the atmosphere of the downtown start.

How much is this going to set me back?

The pricing is incredibly aggressive—almost suspiciously low for a Boston Qualifier. You're looking at $29.44 for the full marathon and $15.47 for the half. It is an absolute steal for a certified course, offering high value for runners on a budget.

What's the route actually like?

It is 100% paved and stays remarkably flat. You won't find any technical turns or punishing climbs here; it’s a straight shot through the sights of Salina, starting and ending in the downtown core. It is designed for speed, not for scenery-induced fatigue.

What do I get for finishing?

Every finisher receives a medal. For the elite/top performers, there are trophies and cash prizes available for the top three male and female finishers in both the Full and Half Marathons.
