What is the route like?

Expect a lot of "been there, done that." This isn't a scenic point-to-point journey; it is strictly an out-and-back format. The 5K and 10K use a 1.56-mile loop (2x and 4x respectively), while the Half Marathon requires you to tackle a 2.18-mile segment six times. This is great for pacing because you know exactly what the terrain feels like, but it can be a mental grind if you aren't prepared to see the same landmarks repeatedly. Should I prepare for heat?

Late June in Pennsylvania can be a fickle beast. You’ll likely start at 8:00 AM in mild temperatures, but by the time the Half Marathoners are hitting their final loops, the humidity and heat could be climbing. Wear lightweight, moisture-wicking gear and don't skimp on hydration.

How much am I going to pay?

The pricing is refreshingly low for a US road race. The 5K is $30, the 10K is $45, and the Half Marathon is $65. If you're bringing kids, they are a steal at just $5. Just remember: there is no on-site registration, so you must sign up via Runsignup ↗ before the deadline.

What do I get at the finish line?

Every finisher gets a medal, which you can verify on Usroadrunning ↗. If you're the type who likes a bit of flair, they also host a Best Costume Award, so don't be surprised to see some eccentric characters on the course. What are my distance options?

All races kick off at 8:00 AM EDT. The 5K (3.1 miles) is a quick sprint, the 10K (6.2 miles) is a standard mid-distance test, and the Half Marathon (13.1 miles) is the real challenge here. Note that the Half Marathon has a 3 hour and 30 minute cutoff, so keep a steady clip if you want that medal.
