The event is a trail race set in an old abandoned phosphate mine area, making it one of the most challenging courses in Florida. The terrain includes rolling hills with twists and turns through the phosphate mine landscape, using sand and dirt trails originally crafted as mountain bike trails at Loyce E. Harpe Park. The course is marked with over 600 markers, and some sections may challenge even experienced runners to maintain a 10-minute pace.
