2026 FlatRock 101
The 2026 FlatRock 101 takes place on April 18, 2026, in the Elk City Lake area of Independence, Kansas. - →12K: Starts at 7:15 AM with a 5-hour cutoff
- →5K: Starts at 7:15 AM with a 2-hour cutoff
How many aid stations are available for each distance?
- →101K: 15 aid stations, including 11 fully stocked (water, electrolytes, snacks, soup, sandwiches) and 4 water-only
- →50K: 7 aid stations, including 5 fully stocked and 2 water-only
- →25K: 3 aid stations, including 2 fully stocked and 1 water-only (at the turnaround)
- →12K: 1 fully stocked aid station
- →5K: No aid stations
Where is the race headquarters and packet pickup located?
Race HQ is at the Outlet Channel Group Shelter on the north side of the Elk City Lake dam. Packet pickup is available on Friday, April 17, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Saturday, April 18, from 5:30 AM until the race starts.
Are drop bags allowed for this event?
Drop bags are allowed for 50K and 101K runners only. Drop bag locations include OakRidge, The Turnaround, and Start/Finish. Bags must be shoe-box sized, clearly labeled with the runner’s name, bib number, and designated aid station, and must be waterproof and secure. Drop bags will be returned to the Outlet Channel Group Shelter as aid stations close.
Is crew access allowed for this event?
Crew access is allowed for 50K and 101K runners only at OakRidge, The Turnaround, and Start/Finish.
Are pacers allowed for this event?
Pacers are allowed only for 101K runners and only after completing the first 50K. Pacers may join at any crew-accessible aid station on the second 50K loop. Each pacer must sign a waiver.
