What is the course layout like?

The route features a mix of road and paved trail sections. Starting at Evergy Plaza, the course loops around the Kansas State Capitol before transitioning to the Shunga Trail. Runners will then pass through the Westboro neighborhood and Westboro Park before returning past or under the Capitol building to reach the finish line at Evergy Plaza. What are the pace requirements for the half marathon?

To comply with city street closure permits, all half marathon participants must maintain a pace of 16 minutes per mile or faster.

Where are the aid stations located for the half marathon?

Hydration and facilities are available at the following intervals:

• →Mile 1.5: Water (shared with 5K; also serves as Mile 11.5 on the return)
• →Mile 3: Water and porta potties, located near Tortilla Jack's (also serves as Mile 10 on the return)
• →Mile 5.5: Water
• →Mile 7.5: Water and porta potties
