What are the available race distances and start times?
- →Half Marathon: Starts at 6:30 AM, beginning and ending in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club.
- →5K: Starts at 7:00 AM, beginning and ending at Fletcher's Boathouse.
What is the course format and terrain?
- →Half Marathon: A two-out-and-back format running along the Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) Canal path. The terrain consists of light gravel/dirt roads with minimal elevation change.
- →5K: An out-and-back route on the C&O Canal path featuring a flat trail with no major elevation gains and light gravel surface.
How much does registration cost?
- →5K: $35 until May 15; $40 after May 15.
- →Half Marathon: $70 until May 15; $75 after May 15.
- →Note: There is no on-site registration available on race day; an additional $5 fee applies for late registrations.

Are there any time limits or specific pace requirements?
- →The Half Marathon has a completion time limit of 3:15.
- →Runners running near or above a 3-hour pace should contact the organizers for an earlier start arrangement.
- →The event participates in the Back of the Pack (BOTP) Series with specific paces: 12:00/mile for the Half Marathon and 11:00/mile for the 5K.
How are awards distributed?
- →Top 3 men and women overall.
- →1st and 2nd place male/female in the following age groups: 19&Under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
- →Note: Overall top 3 finishers are not eligible for age group awards.
