What can I expect from the course terrain and elevation?

The races take place on classic Black Hills trails consisting of dirt, singletrack, and uneven footing.

• →Haven 30K: A point-to-point course through rugged terrain with 2,700 ft of elevation gain.
• →Haven Half Marathon: A strength and endurance-focused course featuring steady ascents and descents with 1,948 ft of elevation gain.
• →Haven 10K: An out-and-back route with a steady climb profile and 1,032 ft of elevation gain.

What should I consider regarding weather and trail conditions?

Because the event is held in late July, runners should be prepared for warm temperatures and dry trails. The courses include both exposed sections and forested areas, so pacing should be conservative, especially given the significant elevation gain across all distances.
