The race is a technical single-track trail run through the Bridger Mountains with approximately 2,400 ft of elevation gain. The route is heavily marked with pin flags; runners should ensure they see a flag within 50 ft to remain on course. The course begins at Jim Bridger Lodge and follows this flow:

• →Head uphill on Coyote Flats
• →Connect to Pierre's Return toward the Schlasman's lift
• →Turn right and cross the mountain
• →Loop down, then climb up Montagne Meadow
• →Return the course in reverse to finish
