Eligibility & Requirements
What is the minimum age requirement?
Runners must be at least 18 years old on race day.
Is a license required to participate?
Yes, a valid athletics federation license is mandatory. Options include:
- →An annual license from any national/regional federation
- →A €6 day license from RFEA (required for non-licensed runners and includes race-day accident insurance)
What are the medical requirements?
Runners must be in good health and accept full personal risk.

How much does registration cost?
Registration fees are based on capacity limits and dates:
- →€40: First 500 registrants or within 24 hours of launch
- →€48: Up to 2,000 registrants or until Sept 30, 2025
- →€68: Up to 5,000 registrants or Oct 1 – Dec 15, 2025
- →€88: Until max capacity or Jan 29, 2026
Is race-day registration available?
No, registration is only available via www.maratonmurcia.com or authorized partners. There is NO race-day registration.

Key Policies
Can I transfer my bib or change distances?
Yes, changes are allowed until January 20, 2026.

What is the policy for injury withdrawals?

What does the optional refund insurance cover?
The €9 optional insurance provides:

Race Day Logistics
How are start corrals assigned?
Start corrals are assigned by estimated finish time. Elite marathoners (men <3:30 / women <3:45) may need to show proof of a recent result. Runners may move to a slower corral on race day.
What are the baggage check rules?
Runners must use the official race bag with their bib sticker attached. Bags are inspected before drop-off.
What are the course rules?
- →No cutting corners or running on sidewalks
- →No littering
- →Must pass all timing checkpoints
- →Cannot overtake the lead vehicle (violation results in disqualification)
- →No unauthorized support vehicles (bikes, scooters, etc.)
Support & Safety
What is provided at aid stations?
Aid stations are located every ~5 km and provide water, electrolytes, and solids.
What medical services are available?
On-course medical teams are present. Physio and podiatry services are available for injuries (not for general recovery).
What emergency information should runners provide?
Runners should write their blood type, emergency contact, and any medical conditions on the back of their bib.
What causes disqualification?
Disqualification can occur for safety violations, course-cutting, or unregistered participation.
Awards & Recognition
What do finishers receive?
All marathon finishers receive a finisher medal. Custom engraving is available post-race for €3.
What trophies are awarded?

- →Top 3 in each age category (Under-23, Senior, Masters 35–75+)
- →Team awards (minimum 4 runners; sum of times)
When is the trophy ceremony?
The ceremony begins at 11:00 AM and continues hourly.

Open Prize Pool (Men <2:30 / Women <3:00):
