What is the event overview?

The 48 Miles of HOPE is a community fundraiser celebrating Justin’s 48th birthday, where he runs 48 miles to support HOPE of Winston Salem, a local nonprofit fighting food insecurity in Forsyth County. Now in its 5th year, the event blends endurance, family fun, and meaningful impact through various race distances.

What distances and formats are available?

• →48-Mile Fun Run: Starts at 7:00 AM EST, with a time limit of 10.5 hours (finishes by 5:30 PM)
• →48-Mile Relay (NEW in 2026): Teams of 2–6 runners split the 48 miles, starting at 7:00 AM EST
• →10K: Approximately 11.3 laps, starting at 11:45 AM EST
• →5K: Approximately 5.5 laps, starting at 11:00 AM EST
• →1-Mile Fun Run: Starting at 10:30 AM EST

How much does registration cost?

• →48-Mile Fun Run: $58
• →48-Mile Relay: $35 per team member
• →10K: $30
• →5K: $25
• →1-Mile Fun Run: $8.48

When do registration prices increase?

• →5K, 10K, and Relay: Price increases after January 17, 2026, at 11:59 PM EST

What is the race course like?

All races use the same 0.55-mile crushed gravel loop in Kimberley Park, starting and finishing at the same central location for easy access to post-race festivities. The course is scenic and shaded, offering a peaceful city park environment.

• →Relay team medals for all members of the 48-mile relay
