The 2025 Jackson County Ultras, also known as the Jackson 50/50, will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the picturesque Pyoca Camp & Retreat Center located in Brownstown, Indiana, within the Jackson-Washington State Forest area. Participants can expect chilly temperatures typical for early December, with highs around 40°F and lows dipping into the 20s°F, making for an invigorating atmosphere amidst rugged terrain. This challenging ultramarathon offers an exciting adventure through steep topography, ridgetop vistas, lakes, and forest trails, providing an unforgettable experience for all levels of runners.

  • 100K Solo starting at 7:30 AM (24-hour cutoff)
  • 100K Relay (2–6 person teams) starting at 7:30 AM (24-hour cutoff)
  • 50K starting at 7:30 AM (24-hour cutoff)
  • 10 Mile starting at 8:30 AM
  • Kids & Family 1 Mile Lake Lap starting at 4:00 PM

What are the registration fees for this event?

  • 10 Mile: $35 early (before Sept 7, 2025), $45 later, $55 day-of
  • 50K: $90 early (before Sept 7, 2025), $105 later, $115 day-of
  • 100K: $100 for first 50 registrants, $125 for next 50, $140 after 100, $165 day-of
  • 100K Relay:

• 2-person team: $70 per person early, $80 later

• 3-person team: $60 per person early, $70 later

• 4-person team: $50 per person early, $60 later

• 5-person team: $45 per person early, $55 later

• 6-person team: $40 per person early, $50 later

What is included in registration?

Participants will receive professional race photos, live tracking, access to heated indoor facilities, post-race food, and shower facilities. Finishers of the 100K will receive a custom belt buckle, while finishers of the 50K, 10 Mile, and Relay will earn medals. Additionally, prize money will be awarded to the top five male and female finishers of the 100K.

What are the event facilities and amenities?

The event will feature heated indoor facilities for participant comfort, as well as 17 aid stations throughout the 100K course. Camping is available at Jackson-Washington State Forest for $13 per night at primitive sites, and cabin packages with meals can be reserved at Pyoca Camp.

Pacers are allowed for 100K solo runners during the last two laps, or the last three laps if the runner is aged 60 or older. The event aims to qualify for the Western States 100K, requiring at least 100 finishers to achieve this goal. There are no refunds within three months of the race, but rollover and deferral options are available under certain conditions.
