What is the event format and trail description?

The event is a trail race on the Pinhoti Trail, offering 95% single-track terrain with scenic overlooks, creek crossings, lakes, and hardwood and pine forests within the Talladega National Forest. The 50K is point-to-point, the 25K is a lollipop course, and the 10K is an out-and-back route.

What is included in registration?

All finishers receive a medal. Results are posted on Ultrasignup ↗. Awards include top 3 overall male/female, 1st overall male/female master, and 1st overall male/female grand master.

Are there any special awards or series opportunities?

Yes, finishers of the Pinhoti Trail 50K Grand Slam—completing Mt Cheaha 50K, Oak Mountain 50K, and Rockin' Choccolocco 50K—earn a special finisher buckle. Sign up by emailing jamiehruns@gmail.com.

What logistics and notes should participants know?

• →Camping: Primitive camping at Cahulga Creek Park for a $10 donation to the City of Heflin; restrooms available, no showers
• →Hotels: Available in Heflin and Oxford, AL
• →Parking: Park in the grassy area to the left upon entering Cahulga Park
• →Weather: The race has never been canceled; prepare for any conditions
• →Restrictions: No refunds, no race day registration, no entry transfers, no deferrals; strollers, animals, bicycles, and unentered runners not allowed on course; pets must be kept 50+ feet from aid stations and start/finish areas
• →Bus transportation for 50K: Departs Cahulga Park at 5:55 AM CST sharp to the start at FS 532; bus ticket $15 (purchase at registration or in store)
