You can view the official course description and maps at Wellingtonmarathon ↗. The route is an out-and-back course along the flat harbour bays, passing landmarks such as the Michael Fowler Centre, Te Papa, Oriental Bay, Wind Walk, Miramar Peninsula, and Queens Wharf.

What are the specific course rules and cut-off times?

• →Full Marathon Cut-off: Participants must reach the 22k mark by 11:00am; those who miss this mark may be permitted to finish as Half Marathoners.
• →Course Controls: All course controls close at 1:00pm.
• →Safety: While road controls are in place, some traffic may still be present; participants are responsible for their own safety.
• →Course Marking: Outward kilometers are sequential, while return markers count down the remaining distance.

What amenities and facilities are available on race day?

• →Aid Stations: Located every 3.5–5k, with additional stations at the finish line.
• →Toilets: Available on the course.
• →Gear Storage: Located at Hnry Stadium, Aisle 11.
• →First Aid: Available at Aisle 19, the start/finish line, and via roving medics on the course.
• →Post-race Massage: Available at the Pavilion Bar for $20 for 15 minutes (cash only).
• →Race HQ: Located at Hnry Stadium, Aisle 18.
• →Shuttle Bus: A free race day shuttle operates between the CBD and Hnry Stadium.
