How is the Team Marathon organized?

The team marathon allows two runners to share the 42.2 km distance by each running a half-marathon leg:

• →First runner: Torquay to Point Addis (approximately 19.6 km)
• →Second runner: Point Addis to Fairhaven SLSC (approximately 22.5 km)
• →A shuttle bus runs from Torquay to Point Addis at 9:00 am for second runners; seats must be booked at the time of entry.

What is the event schedule and start times?

• →Marathon (Solo and first team runner): 8:30 am in Torquay
• →8 km “Urquhart’s Bluff Blast”: Approximately 10:30 am at Urquhart’s Beach
• →Half Marathon: Approximately 11:00 am at Point Addis (beach)

What are the course cut-off times?

• →20 km mark (Point Addis): 12:00 pm (3.5 hours from start)
• →Finish line (Fairhaven SLSC): 3:30 pm (7 hours from start)

What kind of terrain can runners expect?

The course is a non-technical, mixed-terrain coastal route that is not considered pure mountain trail or road. It consists of:

• →Graded walking paths and coastal tracks
• →Short beach sections, including Bells Beach
• →A few short road connectors
• →A rolling profile with an elevation gain/loss of approximately +670 m / −670 m over the full marathon course.

• →Point Addis Car Park / Transition: ~19.6 km (also serves as the half-marathon start and team handover point)

What is the hydration policy for this event?

The event operates under a cup-free policy. No disposable cups are provided, so all runners must bring their own hydration gear, such as:
