The genius of this race is the timing. By starting the marathon at 00:30 AM, you beat the brutal Thai humidity. However, don't get complacent; by the time the 10K and 5K runners are finishing, the sun will be up and the temperature will climb rapidly. Plan to finish your distance before the 07:00 AM window to avoid the tropical sun.

Which distance should I pick?

If you want the true "Bangkok experience," go for the Full Marathon. It starts in the dead of night, meaning you see the city's landmarks in a way most tourists never will. The Half Marathon at 03:00 AM is a solid middle ground for those wanting the atmosphere without the grueling distance. For casual runners, the 10K and 5K are great, but you'll be racing against the sunrise.

What are my distance and start time options?

The schedule is strictly tiered:

• Half Marathon (21.1 KM): 03:00 AM
• Mini Marathon (10 KM): 04:30 AM

How much is this going to cost me?

The pricing is very competitive for an international-standard event. You're looking at $75 for the full marathon, $55 for the half, $35 for the 10K, and $25 for the 5K. Given the scale of the production and the prestige of the event, this is excellent value for money.

What do I need to know about race day logistics?

The biggest hurdle is the road closures. Sanamchai Road starts shutting down at 10:00 PM on January 9th. If you aren't staying within walking distance of the start line, you are going to have a very frustrating night trying to navigate Bangkok's traffic. My advice: book a hotel near Sanamchai Road and walk to the start. Also, note that if you win an award, you must be present at the 07:00 AM ceremony to claim it.
