Mount Archer Trail Race 2026

The Mount Archer Trail Race 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 478 Hamburg Road in Lyme, Connecticut. Participants can expect typical early May weather in the Lyme area, which often features mild temperatures ranging from the 50s to 60s Fahrenheit (10°C to 18°C) with a possibility of spring showers. This trail running event takes place on the scenic hills of Mount Archer, offering two distinct course options designed to accommodate various experience levels while supporting local emergency services.

What race distances are available?

• →The Moore Trail: A 9.2-mile loop (USATF-CT Mountain/Trail/Ultra Series Race)
• →The Sprint: A 3-mile loop on the northern side of Mount Archer

What is the event schedule?

• →7:00 AM: Race day check-in and bib collection
• →8:00 AM: The Moore Trail (9.2 Mile Loop) start time
• →8:15 AM: The Sprint (3 Mile Loop) start time

How much does registration cost?

• →The Moore Trail: $38.10 (includes $3.10 fee)
• →The Sprint: $32.80 (includes $2.80 fee)

What awards are presented?

Awards are given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers in both distances, as well as the top 2 male and female finishers in the following age groups:

• →12 & under
• →13–19
• →20–29
• →30–39
• →40–49
• →50–59
• →60–69
• →70–79
• →80+

What amenities and facilities are provided?

• →Chip-timed results with instant availability for both distances
• →Hydration stations located on the course and at the finish line
• →Food and drinks available at the finish line
• →Race runs rain or shine

What is included with registration?

• →A race T-shirt is provided to the first 160 participants (Note: Registration by the April 17 deadline was required to guarantee a shirt)

Can walkers and hikers participate?

• →Yes, walkers and hikers are welcome for The Sprint (3 Mile Loop), provided they register and start on time behind the runners.
