Which distances should I target?
You have plenty of options depending on your goals. The Half Marathon and 10K both kick off at 8:00 AM, making them the primary choices for those looking for a real training stimulus. The 5K run and walk follow at 8:30 AM, while the youth Fun Run starts at 9:00 AM. If you want to test your endurance, go for the Half; if you just want to soak up the festival vibes, the 5K is the sweet spot.
What is the price tag for entry?
This is one of the more budget-friendly races you'll find. If you register early (by May 30, 2026), you'll pay $45. If you wait until the late registration window (May 31 – June 5), the price bumps to $50, and you lose the guarantee of a race shirt. For the kids, the Fun Run is a steal at $15. It’s excellent value, provided you don't procrastinate.
What should I expect from the terrain?

The organization is handled by the Shiawassee Family YMCA and chip-timed by the Michigan Running Foundation, so your results will be accurate. There are multiple water stations along the route to keep you hydrated. Just a heads-up: they are strict about their "no pets or strollers" rule, so leave the dog and the jogging pram at home.
What kind of recognition do winners get?
If you're running for more than just a finisher's high, there are awards for the top three finishers in each age group and gender. They also hand out overall awards for the top male and female in each race category.
