What is the course layout for the Stinson Beach/Muir Woods Trail Run?

The route begins at sea level in Stinson Beach and climbs immediately into the redwood and oak forests. Runners encounter a variety of terrain, including wooden ladders, natural rock, wooden staircases, and sections that require scrambling under tree trunks. The course passes through babbling brooks and waterfalls before reaching a summit with panoramic vistas, eventually descending back to the coast. The first three miles of the course feature a significant elevation gain of over 1,100 feet.

• →Half Marathon: 6.5 hours (approximately 30 min/mile)
• →7 Miler: 6.5 hours (approximately 55 min/mile)
