What happens if a 100 miler completes at least two laps?

  • 100 milers who complete at least two laps may take a 50-mile finish instead of a DNF. The finish time will be recorded as the time of drop, not when mile 50 was crossed. Podium eligibility is forfeited if dropping down.

What kind of awards are given?

  • Awards are handmade from old whiskey barrels, sawed, sanded, and branded by the Race Directors.
  • Buckles are three layers of welded steel (nearly half a pound!), inspired by whiskey barrel hoops.
  • Course Record and DFL awards are halves of whiskey barrel heads with hand-branded steel plaques.
