- →25K — counter-clockwise loop from Oak Flats north to Juan Tomas to Pine Flat and back to the finish
What is the course like?
The course runs through Cibola National Forest on a mix of single-track and jeep dirt trails. The terrain includes flowy single track, technical rocky sections, and a balance of climbs, descents, and runnable flat sections. Runners will enjoy views of the Sandia and Manzano Mountains throughout the route.
What is the course update for 2026?
The US Forest Service confirmed no planned closures for thinning projects this year, so the 50K will go around and up to Cedro Peak, a route that has not always been available in past years due to tree thinning and prescribed burn projects. The 25K retains its familiar loop route from previous years.

The event has a participant cap of 300 runners total, with a waitlist available for those who register after the limit is reached.
