How do I handle the weather in June?

June in the Appalachian mountains can be a wildcard. While the dense forest canopy provides some shade, the humidity can be stifling, and the temperature can climb quickly once you're exposed on a ridgeline. Plan for heat, but don't get complacent—mountain weather shifts fast. Pack moisture-wicking gear and ensure your hydration strategy is dialed in for high humidity.

What are my options for distance?

You can choose between the 25K, 50K, 100K, or the 100-mile beast. If you want the true "Woodbooger" experience without the multi-day commitment, the 50K is the sweet spot for experiencing the technicality of the High Knob region. The 100-miler is for the ultra-specialists who want to test their mental fortitude against the terrain.

What do I get for finishing?

They don't skimp on the hardware for the big ones. If you conquer the 100-mile or 100K distances, you’ll earn a custom Woodbooger buckle. For the 50K and 25K finishers, you’ll receive a custom finisher medal.
