The course is held on the Wiggins Waterfront Trail, which is essentially a paved, flat stretch along the Delaware River. There is zero technicality here—no hills to ruin your rhythm and no trails to trip on. It is ideal for a steady-state long run or a casual jog where you actually want to be able to hold a conversation.

Is it going to be a heat trap?

June in New Jersey is no joke. By the time the later waves start at 8:30 AM or 10:30 AM, the humidity off the Delaware River will be climbing. If you are sensitive to heat, aim for the 7:30 AM Wave A. Wear moisture-wicking gear and don't skimp on electrolyte prep; the waterfront breeze helps, but the sun will be direct.

What are my distance options?

You have the full spectrum: 1 Mile (Family), 5K, 10K, and 13.1 miles. If you want the "true" experience, the Half Marathon is the way to go, but because the theme is "slow is the new fast," don't feel pressured to hammer it. The waves are capped to keep things personal, so pick your distance and get in early.
