Made in The USA - Milwaukee 2026

Which distance should I pick?

The 5K and 10K are the "sweet spots" here if you are hunting for a PR, as the terrain is forgiving and the pacing stays easy. If you go for the Half Marathon, be prepared for the mental grind: it is a 2-lap course. You'll be seeing the same scenery twice, which is great for pacing consistency but can feel repetitive if you aren't locked into your rhythm. All races kick off at 8:00 AM CDT.

What is the terrain like?

The course is set on a paved greenway trail, which is a dream for runners who hate technical trails or uneven cobblestones. It is predominantly flat with some gentle rolling sections typical of a well-maintained park system. It’s a "rhythm" course—ideal for steady-state efforts.

Will I be fighting the heat?

June in Wisconsin can be a wildcard. While early morning starts (8:00 AM) help mitigate the sun, Glendale can get humid and warm quickly once the clock hits 10:00 AM. Pack light, breathable gear. Since the aid stations are self-serve and spaced roughly every 1.5 miles, I strongly recommend carrying your own handheld hydration if you are running a high-intensity pace to avoid fumbling at the stations.

What can I expect at the finish line?

Every finisher gets a medal. If you register early, you’ll also snag a race shirt. The awards ceremony is quite inclusive, covering everything from top overall finishers to deep age groups (up to 75+). A unique perk here is that your entry qualifies you for a free Turkey Trot later in the year—consider that a built-in value add for your 2026 running calendar.

How much is this going to cost me?

This is one of the more budget-friendly options you'll find for a June race. Prices scale with distance: 5K is up to $42.50, 10K is up to $47.50, 15K is up to $52.50, and the Half Marathon is up to $57.50. If you want to save a few bucks, they offer a "No Shirt" option for $5 less, and military/first responders can get in for free.

What are the race day limitations?

The course has a 3.5-hour total time limit, which requires an average pace of 16 minutes/mile. This is plenty of time for most, but if you are a very casual walker/runner, keep an eye on the clock. Aid stations are functional but "self-serve," so don't expect a massive banquet of electrolytes at every stop.
