What can I expect from the terrain?

The course follows the Sheltowee Trace within the Daniel Boone National Forest, and it is "honest" in the way trail runners mean it. You aren't dealing with extreme, technical mountain scrambling, but you will face constant, rolling elevation changes that will chew through your quads. What do I need to know about aid and cutoffs?

The 50K is well-supported with aid stations at miles 5, 10.7, 15.6, 20.5, and 26.2. The 10-miler has a stop at mile 5. The most critical thing to remember is the 6:00 PM cutoff; since there is no official timing, your goal is simply to keep moving and reach the finish before the lights go out.
