2026 Backside Trail Marathon

What should I expect regarding the course difficulty?
The course consists of high-quality, gently rolling single-track trails. However, it is significantly more demanding than a road marathon. Runners should expect to take approximately 130% or more of their typical road marathon time to complete the distance. The use of trail running footwear is strongly recommended. Are there aid stations and support available?
- →Three aid stations are provided: one at the start/finish line and two located on the course approximately 2–4 miles apart.
- →One drop bag is permitted per runner.
- →Drop bags must be clearly labeled with the runner's name and bib number.
- →The use of garbage bags for drop bags is prohibited.
What are the time limits and race rules?
- →There is a strict 8-hour time limit for the event.
- →Runners who are not maintaining the required pace will have their timing chips removed and will not receive an official finishing time.
- →Please note that no refunds, transfers, or deferrals are available for this event.
What awards and medals are provided?
- →Every finisher of both the marathon and half marathon receives a medal.
- →Runners who "Double Down" (participating in this race the day after completing another marathon or half marathon) receive special medal bling. To receive this, you must select "yes" during the registration process.
