2026 Maui Marathon
The 56th Maui Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Lāhainā, Maui, with the start and finish line located in front of the Outrigger Ka'anapali Beach Resort. Participants can expect tropical spring weather typical of Hawaiʻi in late April, with temperatures likely ranging from comfortable morning lows to warm daytime highs, accompanied by coastal breezes. This road event features an out-and-back course along Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30), offering scenic ocean views for runners across multiple distances.

- →Full Marathon: 5:00 AM
- →Half Marathon: 5:30 AM

What is the course layout and certification?
The Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K all utilize a USATF-certified out-and-back course on Honoapiilani Highway (Route 30). This course is designed to be flatter and faster than previous years and qualifies as a Boston Marathon qualifying course. The 5K follows a different, traditional course. All routes are marked with cones, informative signage, and course marshals.
What is the race day schedule?

What pre-race activities are available on Saturday, April 25?

Where and when can I pick up my race packet?
Packet pick-up takes place in the Westin Maui Resort & Spa ballrooms. There is no packet pick-up available on race day.

Note: A valid ID is required. If a friend is picking up for you, they must present your ID and written or email authorization.
What amenities and support are provided on the course?

What are the important race rules and restrictions?
- →Timing: Chip timing is located on the back of the bib; do not remove it. Full and Half Marathon runners must cross the halfway split mat to receive split timing.
- →Equipment: Headlamps are highly encouraged for the Full and Half Marathon as they start in the dark (sunrise is at 6:00 AM). Headphones are strongly discouraged.
- →Prohibited Items: Baby strollers are not permitted due to active traffic on the course.
- →Nutrition: No food is provided on the course; runners should bring their own electrolyte gels.
- →General Rules: There are no designated corrals or pacers. Walkers are permitted but must finish before the 1:00 PM cutoff.
- →Policies: Bib numbers are non-transferable. There are no refunds or rollovers.
